Katie Felstead
Katie’s first editorship was of a photocopied, crudely stapled magazine (cover price 20p, staff of one) sold from under the main stairs at her junior school - age 8. Whist its contents were wide ranging, her love of fashion consumed later issues and became a constant in her life. Shunning an academic path, she graduated from The Surrey Institute of Art and Design with a first class honours degree and immediately began an prolonged internship at British Vogue, which became a permanent position, only punctuated by a brief sojourn at Harper’s Bazaar’s Paris office. Fast forward to today and Katie is the Fashion Director of Glass and Glass Man, published worldwide, as well as contributing to other international style titles. A rare combination of rigorousness and creativity, her style is chameleonic whilst retaining its own quintessential handwriting.
Katie has worked with photographers Patrick Demarchelier, Carter Smith, Liz Collins, David Ferrura, John Akehurst, Ben Morris, Agata Pospieszynsk, Benjamin Madgwick and Simon Emmett among many more and style titles including British Vogue, Vogue China, Vogue India, Vogue Italia, Vogue Thailand, Vogue Taiwan and the Sunday Times Style. Clients include Gina, Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, Matches Fashion, Rimmel, Swarovski, De Grisogono, GHD, Rimmell, Sephora and Wella. Katie has also worked with talents Emma Corrin, Paul Mescal, Felicity Jones, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Niall Horan, Stacey Martin, Emily Blunt and Gwendolyn Christie.
She lives in Norfolk with her husband and their two whippets Vegas Flash and Indiana Duke and is rarely happier than when she is with them on the beach with an accompanying flask of tea.
